I have found a site that will show you how to upgrade your Linksys router to a more robust router. The upgrade is easy to perform if you follow instructions well. There is a down side to the upgrade if done incorrectly you may damage the router. If all goes well you will have turned your plain router into a powerful router with many more options than before. The upgrade adds vlans, wireless modes, and wireless power increase just to name a few features. If the upgrade goes bad you will have a nice paperweight to add to your desk. If you do wreck the upgrade there are step-by-step instructions on how to restore the router to a working unit. If you try this please be careful, as it is easy to crash one and the fix only has a 50% chance of recovery.
